Lindsay Bauer, LMFT, RYT
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Yoga Instructor in the state of Pennsylvania. I earned my Master's Degree from Thomas Jefferson University. I received a 200-hour Yoga Certification from Sadhana Yoga School in Bali, Indonesia. I specialize in working with adults who have suffered complex trauma, domestic violence, family and marital conflict, and/or environmental stressors dealing with issues such as traumatic attachments, guilt, depression, anxiety, and severe relationship issues.
I believe that no two people are alike and it requires a deep understanding and collaborative assessment to determine the best treatment modality. It takes a lot of courage and self-determination to seek therapy and as a therapist, I make sure to respect and nourish vulnerabilities and personal goals. I build rapport with clients and offer a safe and confidential environment. I have training and experience using a systemic approach when working with individuals, couples and families to promote long lasting change. I also specialize in combining yoga and mindfulness techniques with talk therapy to combat trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, and to help foster a better sense of self and control over the mind and body. I also help couples develop better ways of communicating and experiencing one another by sifting through past attachment issues and using emotion-focused treatment methods.
Clients would describe me as being very understanding, intuitive, and calming. I am very comfortable with high conflict and have a gift at helping de-escalate even the toughest situations. My skills vary in approach and I often find this as a benefit to clients in that, I am able to make genuine and meaningful connections with them.
